I dream of dumplings but do they dream of me?

Created and imagined by YEAHYEAHCHLOE, Dumpling Dreams invites you into a whimsical space of fun and discovery. For the artist, dumplings embody her memories, experiences and even her moods. This brings them to life and they become much more than objects, they become her friends. Through her relationships with these little characters, she finds connection and belonging.

This exhibition centres around the narrative of a Lonely Dumpling. He is depressed as he feels misplaced in the world - so, he sleeps and dreams of friends, of connecting and finding his place in this big wild world.

YEAHYEAHCHLOE asks us to step into his dreamscape and consider how the objects we surround ourselves with can connect us to a time and place. Helping us find connection within the everyday. Giving them meaning and bringing them to life, creating pathways for us to find our own sense of belonging along the way.
